What Are The Light Sources For Mobile Lighting Groups? What Are The Differences Between Them

What are the light sources for mobile lighting groups? What are the differences between them

Mobile lighting groups are widely used. The light sources used in different types of mobile lighting groups are different. Common lamps include xenon lamps, mercury lamps, and metal halide lamps. These are gas discharge lamps. Three different lamps There are some differences in performance characteristics. The following Longfa lamp manufacturers take you to understand the differences between these three lamps in detail.

First of all, through the definition of xenon lamp, mercury lamp and metal halide lamp, roughly distinguish the xenon lamp, mercury lamp and metal halide lamp:

Xenon lamps are generally referred to as HID Xenon Lamps, which are cold light sources;

Mercury lamps, metal halide lamps Generally referred to as HID Lamps in English, the lighting is a warm light source;

Everyone can clearly see the xenon lamp and the mercury lamp. One of the differences between the metal halide lamps is that the xenon lamp arc tube is filled with xenon, while the mercury lamp and the metal halide lamp are generally not expensive. Therefore, the price of xenon lamps is generally much higher than that of metal halide lamps and mercury lamps.

Secondly, the xenon lamp can be turned on and turned on immediately, not only for cold start but also for hot start. Therefore, it can be used as a headlight of a car. However, the starting of a xenon lamp requires a high pulse voltage, usually 12000V. Therefore, the price of ballasts for xenon lamps is generally more expensive.

For metal halide and mercury lamps, only cold start is allowed, not hot start. In other words, if you turn off the lit metal halide or mercury lamp, you have to wait another 5-10 minutes before you can turn it on again. Therefore, they are generally used for commercial lighting such as square lighting and street lighting. For metal halide lamps, only a pulse voltage of 3000-4000V can be used to start them. For mercury lamps, no trigger is required, and 220v voltage can be started.

Finally, let's talk about the difference between mercury lamps and metal halide lamps. The difference is that metal halide lamps have pills, while mercury lamps do not. Therefore, metal halide lamps have high luminous efficiency and a variety of color temperatures, from 3000k to 20000k. However, mercury lamps can only do one color temperature, because the arc tube has no pills, and the color temperature is about 4000k. All belong to gas discharge lamps.
